Looking to grow the human behavior skills of your team? Book an instructor-led session on one of these topics (in-person, virtual, or hybrid). These are designed to be 1-hour sessions, but can be modified to include more activities if you’re looking for a longer session. Don’t see a topic you’re looking for, let me know. I’m regularly researching topics and developing sessions.
Communicating with Confidence
Whether you speak formally in front of a large audience or less formally to a group of peers, how you communicate matters. This course provides an overview of why confidence matters, elements of confident communication, tips on projecting confidence, and best practices when communicating in virtual settings.
Emotional Intelligence
Is emotional intelligence really so important? Emotional intelligence, or EQ, improves decision-making, helps resolve conflict, and builds stronger relationships. In this course, we look at the four components of EQ and discuss answers to commonly asked questions about it.
Intention vs. Impact
We’ve probably all heard some version of the phrase, “We judge others by their actions, but we judge ourselves by our intentions.” Have you ever felt misunderstood? You sent the email or made the statement in a way that sounded just fine to your ears, but the receiver of the message was angry, hurt, or dismissive? Or maybe you’ve been on the flip side of that – something you read or heard felt like a harsh criticism or like the other person was just digging for mistakes. Either way, it doesn’t produce good work or lead to healthy relationships. In this session, we consider simple changes we can make in our daily interactions to clarify our own intentions and understand the intentions of others.
Productive Conversations
Productive conversations require effort, especially when we have something difficult to discuss or we anticipate a negative response. But with practice and by following a simple framework, we can learn to approach these conversations with confidence and curiosity. In this course, we’ll share the five elements of productive conversations and how to apply these to achieve more effective results.
